Terms and Conditions for Melia Properties: Includes Melia Caribe Tropical, DO – Paradisus Punta Cana Resort, DO – Paradisus Palma Real, Resort, DO.
To participate in our All-Inclusive offers for the above mentioned resorts, the host resort requires that you take an 90-120 minute no-obligation presentation of their resort sometime during your stay. When you arrive you can choose the day and time that you would like to take the tour during your stay.
Please note:
If you are staying at a Melia Caribe Tropical property please note that although we do not charge a fee for changes received within the time frame stated within our cancel policy, the resorts charge a $25.00 change fee for all change requests after confirmation is received no matter the time frame.
Unless otherwise noted, packages are per room, not per person, however we can only accommodate 2 adults and 2 children 0 to 7 years of age. There will be a surcharge for Children 8 to 16 years of age, additional children and additional adults.
A Traveler shall be deemed qualified when he or she meets the following criteria:
* Tour: Travelers must complete Sol Melia Vacation Club’s (SMVC) tour and sales presentation lasting between 90-120 minutes. Married or cohabiting couples must tour together.
* Marital Status: Married couples are considered qualified. Cohabiting couples living together for a year or longer; same sex couples; single, unmarried females residents of continental US, meeting all other qualifications will be considered qualified.
* Age: 30-65 years of age – in case of a married/cohabiting couple only one partner needs to be between 30-65 years of age.
* Household income: Married/cohabiting couples and/or qualified parties must have as minimum combined gross annual income the equivalent of $50,000 USD. Travel industry employees, including but not limited to, hotel, airline crew members, travel agents, and vacation ownership DO NOT QUALIFY.
* Travelers: Must present a major credit card and a current picture ID upon arrival to a SMVC Destination Resort and at the time of attending the SMVC tour and sales presentation – only one partner in a couple needs to present a major credit card and a valid picture ID, Debit cards are not acceptable.
* Quinellas: Defined as two (2) non-related qualified couples traveling together, will count as one Q tour. The couples must be scheduled to tour together.
* Groups: Three (3) or more COUPLES traveling together are excluded from this promotion. Groups larger than four (4) adults and four (4) children are also excluded from this promotion.
* Returning Guests: This offer is NOT available to guests who have vacationed and attended an SMVC Tour and Sales Presentation at a designated SMVC destination resort in the past. No more than two (2) SMVC offers at different resort destinations may be redeemed by a guest in their lifetime with no less than six (6) months in between stays.
* Language: Both partners must read and speak fluent English or Spanish.
* Country: Residents of Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Venezuela, Australia, Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe do not qualify and/or residents of destination resorts’ local market.
* Guests: Refusal to fill out the Hostess Form and/or misrepresent any information at the time of the presentation will not qualify.
* Multiple Destination Packages: Travelers in multiple destination packages (two, three legs), will be considered not qualified. Tour at SMVC Resort must be traveler’s only tour.
Cancellation Policy:
We understand that circumstances may arise where you may be unable to fulfill your requested reservation, however, once confirmed this package is non-cancel-able without penalty. You may make changes to your reservation without a penalty if your change request is received within 14 days prior to your scheduled check in date. If in the event you cannot travel and are unsure of your new travel dates, you may use your unused travel voucher for up to 12 months past the purchase date. We will make our best efforts to fulfill your new request, however, we require at least 14 days advance notice of your proposed new check in dates. All change requests are based solely on hotel room availability.
If you wish to cancel your package or if any changes are requested which cannot be accommodated due to the “14 days prior to the original check in date” rule, this will result in a cancellation of your trip and a $100.00 “no show” penalty as well as the forfeiture of the 17.5% tax and or booking fee. The remainder of the initial credit card charge will then be returned to you within 72 hours of cancellation or no show.
This Policy has been put in place to protect our travel destination partner’s from any losses that may accrue from potential client “no-shows” and any administrative costs for reservation handling which may result from changes and or cancellations.
